Sally’s classes explore and teach creativity, imagination and the joy of making art in many mediums.

Private classes are available as well as group classes, and classes are available for anyone ages 7 and up.

Classes are generally available weekends, Mondays, and Wednesdays, in both afternoons and evenings.

Art teacher, Sally Bogardus, has taught art privately and in public schools for the past 30 years. She has also taught through ‘Artists in Residency’ programs.
Sally has also worked as a production potter and ceramic artist, for 25 years.
Her work has been sold in Canada, US, Tokyo, England, Italy and France.
She has a BFA in Studio Art, Art History and Dance, and a Masters in English. Both degrees were completed in New York in the 1980s.

Private classes are an hour long and cost $25- $30 a session. All materials included.

Group sessions (3-6 students) last for 1 ½ hours per class.
The classes involve class critiques and some times, a group exhibit at the end of the sessions, held at Sally’s home/studio .Group classes often offer an atmosphere of collaborative learning and a good social experience, especially for children.
Cost for group sessions are $135.for a 6 week term and $175 for an 8 week term. All materials included.

Classes are held at 94 Shepherd Rd, Halifax, which is 5 minutes from the Rotary, and on 4 bus routes all of which take 10 - 20 minutes from the Halifax shopping centre. (14 Leibin Park, 19 Greystone, 20 Herring Cove, and 32 Cowie Hill Express.)
